This afternoon, June 13, 2009, Eagle Fire Company of Mt Wolf received a phone call from Northeastern Regional Police advising there was a possible phone solicitation scam occurring in our area.  Eagle Fire Company does not perform any fundraising through telemarketing services.  Our department performs an annual fund drive through the mail in the fall timeframe.  At this time at least one resident was contacted on Codorus Furnace Rd in East Manchester Township.  We ask that any resident who has received a phone call report this activity to Northeastern Regional Police by calling York County 911.  Additional information regarding any fundraising activity and an update on this situation may be found on our website at www.fire22.org.  Additionally you may call our station and leave a message at 717-266-2342.

Chicken BBQ and Pie Sale
Eagle Fire Company will hold a Chicken BBQ and Pie Sale on June 27th.  The Chicken dinner includes a half of chicken, baked potatoe, applesauce and roll for $7.00.  Eagle Fire Company will also be selling Strawberry pies to pre-order please call the station at 266-2342 by June 21st.
